Juilee is an artist, former teacher, Reiki practitioner, and wholehearted believer that creativity has the power to heal and connect. With a whimsical spirit and a deep love for nature, she joyfully guides women through meaningful experiences filled with art, laughter, reflection, and a little everyday magic.
What Is a Modern Mystic?
To me, a modern mystic is someone who longs not only to believe in God, Spirit, or Source, but to experience that loving presence personally.
Mysticism is not about escaping everyday life. It's about becoming more deeply present within it—recognizing the sacred in our relationships, creativity, intuition, healing, nature, and the quiet wisdom of our own hearts.
A modern mystic might pray, meditate, create art, work with energy, spend time in nature, or pause long enough to listen within. The path is personal, but the intention is the same: to move beyond ideas about the Divine and into a lived, felt connection with it.
I create soulful experiences that help people slow down, reconnect with themselves, explore their inner wisdom, and open to the loving guidance that is already present within and around them.
This is the heart of Modern Mystics Energy.
You do not need to follow a particular religion or identify as
“spiritual enough.”
You only need curiosity, an open heart, and a willingness to listen.
My Path
I have always felt that creativity, healing, and spirituality are deeply connected. Through my own experiences of change, loss, awakening, and self-discovery, I have learned that we are often guided back to ourselves through the very things that bring us joy, wonder, and aliveness.
What I offer is not doctrine or instruction about what someone should believe, but experiences that invite others to feel, create, listen, and discover for themselves.
Mystics do believe in God!
God/Source is the entire focal point of mysticism.
Mystics wish to go beyond the point of believing in God/Source; they want to experience God/Source directly.
Consequently, belief in God/Source for mystics takes on a deeply personal, emotional, and sensorial dimension.
About Juilee
Juilee Ryan (previously Parpart), raised outside Chicago, grew up with a deep appreciation for family, lifelong learning, community, spirituality, and art.
Her spiritual journey began at 14 and was profoundly influenced by an outdoor education experience in Lake Geneva. This sparked her passion for teaching, metaphysical studies, and nature.
While nurturing her family, Juilee became certified in various metaphysical disciplines, including Reiki Energy Healing, Chios Energy Healing and Paint From Your Soul.
Following a successful teaching career, she founded Modern Mystics Energy, to share her passion for spirituality, art, and community, guiding others to discover their own paths to fulfillment.
Juilee guides women on their journey of transformation through thoughtful creative modalities within the Chicagoland area, as well as virtual experiences and in-person retreats across the country.
